Part of our Essentials Aggregates range, Kiln Dried Sand is a fine, pale grey sand that has been thoroughly dried to leave it completely free-flowing, making it a genuinely fast and easy solution for filling block paving joints. Because all moisture has been removed during the kiln drying process, the sand pours smoothly and works its way readily into narrow gaps without clumping or sticking, speeding up the jointing process considerably compared to damp or standard sand.
Its fine grade allows it to penetrate deep into narrow paving joints, filling gaps thoroughly rather than simply sitting on the surface. Once brushed in and settled, it helps lock block paving firmly in place, adding stability and reducing the movement, loosening, and shifting that can occur in paved surfaces over time. This locking effect is essential for keeping driveways, patios, and paths looking neat and performing well for years after installation.
Beyond its jointing performance, this sand also supports effective drainage between blocks, helping to reduce surface water retention and minimise puddling after rainfall.
